Position overview: The position is responsible for professional level work in the administration of Human Resources including recruitment and discipline actions, personnel file maintenance, Designated Employer representative for the various Drug Testing policies, compensation and employee benefits to ensure compliance with Federal and State employment laws.  Coordinates recruitment and selection of vacant positions, and writes and/or updates job descriptions.  Conducts position classification studies and salary surveys. Evaluates and processes Workers Compensation claims, Accident reports and other Risk Management duties. Reviews and complies with Union Contracts. Provides benefit program research. The position must stay abreast of new laws, codes and procedures, and attending workshops and other continuing education functions as needed. The position maintains confidentiality over the personnel files, employee medical files, and personnel investigative files. Will align their approach and work product with the Park County strategic plan, Vision, Mission, Values and Goals.

All duties below are essential functions of the position:

A. To administer Human Resource services for management and employees with a high regard for a responsive and accurate exchange of information regarding

Park County Employment policies ranging from benefits questions to employee coaching.

B. To complete Benefit Administration thru working with the payroll team ensuring the highest quality and accuracy of the County payroll.

C. To coordinate recruitment and selection processes according to the Policy and procedure manual for Park County.

D. To maintain employee personnel files timely and accurately.

E. To be an HR representative on the Safety Committee which meets monthly.
